| Before listing on the Australian Securities Exchange in 1987, Desane Group Holdings Limited acquired a number of commercial and industrial properties and a construction business. Subsequent to the acquisition, Desane Group Holdings was listed on the Australian Securities Exchange. Since listing on the Australian Securities Exchange, Desane has undertaken a number of commercial and industrial redevelopment projects throughout the Sydney metropolitan area. It was not until 1997 that Desane was able to commence its property accumulation program, which has resulted in the Company currently owning and managing more than $60 million of commercial and industrial property. The Group’s medium term objective is to continue to increase its property holdings. To this extent, the Group's latest acquisition was a $3 million industrial property located in the Sydney suburb of Lane Cove. Desane plans to upgrade this property in order to meet the intended tenant's requirements. As at the financial year ending 2009, the Group has reported 16 annual profit results, resulting in shareholders receiving annual dividends. The Group has also rewarded its shareholders on four occasions with a 1:10 share bonus issue. The bonus shares were issued to shareholders in 1989, 2000, 2001 and 2004. The Group’s original vision is continuing to be fulfilled, with the accumulation of property assets and increasing rental income from the assets it holds. Since its establishment, Desane has concentrated on purchasing prime-location commercial and industrial properties that have a strong appeal to corporate and national companies. Desane has mainly concentrated on purchasing properties of a value in the range of $5 million to $15 million. |
